The caves of Castellana

In 1938, less than a kilometer from the city center, Franco Anelli and Vito Matarrese discovered what later became the largest and most beautiful karst of Italy.
The caves extend for two miles and reach 72 meters deep. The visit to the bowels of the earth from the Grave, a 60 meters deep cavity that connects the outside with the inside, is fascinating. There interesting shows and exciting events are held.
It then continues along great tunnels and large caverns up to the White resplendent Grotto.
